Calçados Bibi - one of Brazil’s largest children’s footwear manufacturers and exporters, has filed a patent for the innovative sole incorporated into its Satelitte range of shoes. The sole - that has ‘columns’ incorporated into its structure to absorb impact and to prevent skidding - has been registered at the National Institute for Industrial Property (INPI).

Bibi designs and produces shoes that are sold in 55 countries globally. With a workforce of over 1460 people based in Parobé, the company expects to produce 3.8million pairs of footwear by the year’s end with a turnover of R$100 million (US$35 million).
