Baby Phat and Vida Shoes to create women’s shoe line
Baby Phat and Vida Shoes have signed a contract under which the two companies will collaborate to produce a women’s shoe line for the female lifestyle brand. The Baby Phat line by Kimora Simmons will include stilettos, wedges, boots and a toddler shoe collection and will be sold at the Baby Phat store and in specialty and department retailers carrying the brand.
In summer Baby Phat and Vida Shoes launched the Baby Phat Diva sneaker, foraying the brand into footwear. “When we first launched the Diva sneaker, unlike our competitors, we were able to blend fashion and function in footwear. The launch of this new shoe line provides us with the wonderful opportunity to expand upon Kimora’s vision for a lifestyle brand and offer the consumer lifestyle footwear,” said Vice President of Vida Shoes, Solomon Dabah.
Since 1999 Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons has grown into a major fashion label and lifestyle brand offering denim wear, leather jackets, jewellery and the new Motorola i833 mobile phone. Baby Phat is a Kellowd brand, a marketer of apparel and consumer soft goods, specialising in branded and private label products.
