Leather history will be presented in Worms

25/11/2004

Two rooms in the Museum Andreasstift in Worms will be set up to present the history of the leather industry of Worms. Tools, machines, clothing, photography, and even a whole workshop, which shows the meaning of the leather industry that once flourished, can be seen in the museum soon. One highlight is the original head of a statue of a leather worker which was lost during war.

For a long time the Leather Association of Worms has sought to collect and assemble memorabilia. Now the members can hand over their collection and present it in the museum Andreasstift - especially Alfred Winter, who kept the head of the statue safely for years, who is looking forward to presenting it to the museum.
