Stahl international has announced that the company recently appointed Rodney Hammond to the position of regional marketing director for Stahl Asia Pacific. His responsibilities will include the marketing functions for all Stahl business units in the region.

Educated at the National Leathersellers College in London – prior to its move to Northampton – he has held previous appointments in the leather and leather chemicals industries in Europe and in the USA. Immediately prior to his appointment at Stahl Asia Pacific he was working for Seton Company, but has now relocated to Singapore where he will be based in his new role.

Mr Hammond is the current president of ALCA (American Leather Chemists’ Association) and was vice president in 2003 as well as being technical programme chairman.
