Shenyang City, the provincial capital of Liaoning province, which is currently in the process of building the largest shoe production zone in Northeast China (see Leatherbiz.com October 25), is making moves towards further expanding its cooperation with foreign countries. The city has signed an agreement with a delegation of small-sized US enterprises to cooperate on ten projects.

The agreement, signed on November 10 by the deputy mayor of Shenyang City, outlines the projects involving companies from the shoe industry, marble, incision moulding, etc. Both sides involved have agreed to promote bilateral cooperation on economic and technological issues, share market information, and organise non-governmental business activities.
