Leather adds new appeal at Techmart India 2004

16/11/2004

“Techmart India 2004” was inaugurated by India’s Union Minister for Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries, Shri Mahabir Prasad on Sunday (November 14) in New Delhi. It is the 12th such international technology fair organised by the National Small Industries Corporation and will run November 14-27.

This year a new approach has been added to the exhibition to place emphasis on specific sectors, products and technology. Leather and leather products is one of the areas highlighted at this year’s event, along with agriculture and food processing, pharmaceutical and chemical, auto components, and biotechnology. Over 160 small companies are exhibiting at the show and it is hoped that it will highlight the latest technological developments in the small sector, assist small companies to market their products, and encourage larger companies to build partnerships with SMEs.
