Brown shoe reports increased October sales

Brown Shoe Company has announced increased sales at Famous Footwear – the company’s chain of 914 branded footwear stores – and the retail division of Naturalizer – the 381-store chain selling the Naturalizer brand of women’s footwear in the USA.

 

Sales at Famous Footwear increased 5.7% to $74,300,000 for the four-week period ended October 30, compared with $70,200,000 for the same period in 2003. Sales for the third quarter also increased by 3.3% compared with last year to reach $311,700,000 compared with $301,600,000.

 

Sales at Naturalizer also increased in October, rising from $16,800,000 last year to $18,600,000 this year. The increase in sales for the third quarter was $100,000, increasing from $49,800,000 to $49,900,000.
