Vice President of America’s Payless ShoeSource - one of the largest shoe sellers in the world – Mr Darrel headed a visit to the Aokang shoe production site on October 20 and expressed the company’s interest in cooperating with the Aokang group on a long-term basis.
Payless ShoeSource sells around 230 million pairs of shoes every year and at present over 90% of those are sourced in China. There are already more than ten factories in China manufacturing shoes for Payless, and Aokang is seen as a potential key supplier. The famous Dongyi shoe-making factory in Wenzhou began its business with Parez in 2002 and now supplies about one million leather shoes to Parez every year.
Mr. Wang zhen Tao, the CEO of Aokang group, said the Aokang shoe production zone that began production on October 11 is already making shoes for GEOX and is looking to manufacture for other good high quality international brands.
