DKNY and Insolia collaborate on comfortable shoes
Tired, aching feet could be a thing of the past according to DKNY and Insolia. The two companies are working together on a range of high-heeled boots and shoes for women that are said to offer the comfort of wearing flat shoes, allowing women to be both fashionable and comfortable at the same time.
DKNY is introducing 12 new shoe styles this autumn that will feature the Insolia component that is said to provide more comfort without changing the appearance of the shoe itself. This technology was developed by chiropodist Dr Howard Dananberg and was launched onto the American market in May this year. It works by shifting the weight to the heel thus removing pressure from the forefoot. This allows women to wear fashionable high-heeled shoes without the pain and discomfort that has often been associated with them.
“Insolia has improved the high heel experience for women,” said Michael Backler, president of HBN Shoe LLC, the developer of the Insolia technology. Patents have been issued or are currently pending in over 40 countries for the Insolia component and over a million shoes incorporating the technology have already been sold around the world.
