Former Mulberry designer, Nicholas Knightly, has been named as the new head of design for leather goods at French luxury goods manufacturer Louis Vuitton.

Knightly will head the in-house design team and will be integral in the progress and development of the brand’s luggage and bag lines. 

Meanwhile in Shanghai, where counterfeit designer goods often flood the market, Louis Vuitton has opened a shop of its own. The opening on September 23, is the latest new Vuitton shop to appear in China in the past month with two other stores being opened in Xiamen and Xi’an.
