PLGMEA chairman appointed to Export Development Board
Fawad Ijaz Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Leather Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PLGMEA), has been appointed to the Export Development Board Advisory Committee and the Employees Old Age Benefit Institution for the year 2004/2005. He will represent the leather industry and exporters in general.
He has been instrumental in many of the policies that pertain to exports, and has actively promoted the interests of the leather garment industry. Fighting tirelessly for the industry following the drastic cut in exports, he has been largely responsible for the recovery and growth of the leather industry.
With a target of $1 billion worth of exports, the leather industry is hopeful that Fawad will be able to help the industry achieve this goal in his new role.
