Lanxess establishes laboratories worldwide
The Material Protection Products Business Unit (MPP) of Bayer Chemicals AG, soon to be part of the global chemical company Lanxess, has opened microbiology laboratories across its key regions to provide efficient customer testing services. The investment, estimated at more than half a million euros, is designed to resolve tasks rapidly, professionally and on-site.
Dr Ulrich Beck, head of MPP Business Unit explained: “Because the results obtained at our main laboratory in Germany are not always transferable to technologies, market demands and regulations outside Europe, we now have technical laboratories in operation all over the world.”
The network includes the main Technical Competence Centre for global activities in Krefeld-Uerdingen, regional laboratories in Yuki City, Japan, in Singapore for Asia, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for Latin America and in Pittsburgh for North America. The Business Unit and its customers will continue to have quick access to competent Registration Management services for the support of registration activities.
Lanxess markets both active ingredients and biocidal product formulations. Its products include Preventol, Solbrol and Velcorin.
