CLIA aims at attracting international markets

China is constantly working on improving the world’s perception of its leather and footwear products. In an attempt to attract international markets the Second Huidong Shoes Culture Festival is to begin on 28 October in the small town of Huidong in South China's Guangdong Province.

 

Huidong has about 3,000 shoe enterprises which produce over 600 million pairs of leather shoes each year. Some of them also process products for Italian brand-name shoes. The festival will consist of three elements: exhibitions of shoes, materials, machines and history of the shoe evolution, shoe design contests and industry-related seminars.
