Shipment delays to affect Phoenix footwear results

21/09/2004

Californian-based footwear and apparel company Phoenix Footwear has released a statement announcing that the company is to miss its 2004 sales forecast.

This shortfall is said to be due to shipment delays, in the USA and Brunei, and to the temporary closure of the company’s factory in Puerto Rico due to inclement weather, resulting in production shortfalls.  The company also cited a slide in sales of the Trotter brand of women’s shoes as another reason for the worse-than-expected figures. The firm will release a new financial forecast when the results for the third quarter are released in October.
