A workshop on leather industry activities took place in Libya from Sunday until Wednesday, aimed at pooling knowledge and encouraging progress and development in the industry in the region. Attended by representatives from Algeria, Burkina, Chad, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, and Tunisia, the workshop included demonstrations of new technology and leather treatment processes, presented by experts from the African and Arab industries.
The seminar was overseen by the Islamic Educational and Cultural Organisation, ISESCO, in cooperation with The United Nations organisation, UNESCO.
