16/09/2004

According to the Chinese embassy in Canada, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal has announced that they have initiated an anti-dumping review on women’s shoes from China. The Chinese export firms in question should complete and submit a questionnaire to the Canada Border Services Agency no later than September 27.

It is the third such review since August 1989 and at present the anti-dumping tax rate on Chinese women’s shoes is 29%. In 1990, the Canadian tribunal claimed that the average dumping level was 47.3%.
