American leather accessories producer, Coach Inc. has announced that the company’s results for the first quarter of 2004 are exceeding analysts’ predictions.

Sales figures for the period, which are due for release on October 2, are likely to increase to above $335 million, compared with $258 million for the same period in 2003 this equates to an increase of 30%.  

“We have seen robust sales continue throughout the summer and into the start of the fall season across all US business units and with the Japanese consumer worldwide. All of our key performance figures continue to demonstrate the vibrancy of the Coach brand,” commented Lew Frankfort, Chief Executive Officer.

Coach will address investors at the Goldmann Sachs Global Retailing Conference in New York, on Thursday, September 9.
