Some 10,000 Slovenian textile workers are to receive an increase in salary following talks between the country’s leading textile companies and the Union of Textile and Leather-Processing Industries.

The negotiations began following the union’s threat to strike if salaries were not increased. The agreement reached between the two parties equates to a pay rise of SIT5,000  ($25.36) for each worker.
