Bovine Shoe division boosts Richina profits

24/08/2004

Richina Pacific Limited has reported an increase of 18.2% in net profits for the first half of 2004 ended June 30, which equates to $2.38 million.

The three business operations of the company – Shanghai Richina Leather, the construction firm Mainzeal, and the Beijing-based Blue Zoo aquarium – all performed well.

However, the Bovine Shoe division was the shining light of Richina, generating profits of $2.2 million. This figure represents an increase in profits of 89% on the same period in 2003, and the results for the first six months of the year have already outstripped 2003’s full year profits.

Furthermore, the trend is set to continue with the completion of $23 million expansion and development of the site; and with the company’s shift of focus in order to reduce losses in ovine garments and centre more on upholstery.
