Pittards celebrates Olympic equestrian success

British leather manufacturer, Pittards, has been selected as the supplier of technical leathers to the British Olympic teams in their quest for medals in Athens. This includes the British equestrian team, recent winner of bronze, which relies on the company’s products for its equipment.

Pittards New Business Development Director Mike Dodd says: "Pittards leather is well represented at this year's Olympics. For instance, top UK rider Jeanette Brakewell is using Pittards leather in her saddle and gloves. Her riding colleagues William Fox Pitt and Pippa Funnell also use Pittards leather. American baseball players are relying on high quality Pittards technical leather in their gloves to enhance their performance.  Our leather is also used in gloves, saddles, boots and sports shoes by many nations, especially in technical sports such as cycling and sailing where grip, protection or other special features are required.”
