The row between the world’s two largest footwear events looks set to rumble on following the decision by Micam organiser ANCI to stick to its usual dates for the spring 2005 show, which are March 19-22.

 

The decision means the Milan event will again overlap with German rival GDS, which will take place in Dusseldorf March 17-20. GDS organiser Messe Dusseldorf at one point agreed to stage the spring ‘05 event one week after Micam, but that was before it realised that Easter falls on the last March weekend next year.  The leather goods show Mipel will run concurrently with Micam.
