Pielespaña Internacional 2005, to be held on 21 – 24 of January in the Montjuïc exhibition centre, Barcelona, is undertaking a new show with fashion and business at its centre. The organisers, who plan to attract the new EU member countries to the event, are already accepting requests for space.

In addition to featuring the latest leather fashion products and trends for Autumn/Winter 2005/2006, the exhibition will house the following sectors: suede, nappa, double face clothes, tanned goods, fine furs, small leather articles and accessories, trimmings, chemical products and machinery. Parallel activities will again include the ‘Exhibition Proposals’ fashion show, the ‘Young Talents’ contest and fashion show, open to all students of leather fashion design. The trends area will also be back for the second year running.

12,017 trade visitors from 55 countries attended Pielespaña Internacional 2004, 1,500 of whom came from abroad. 180 national and international exhibitors participated in the event increasing the number of participating countries from 7 in 2003 to 12 in 2004.
