Brazilian show keeps on growing

22/07/2004

The work group behind the Brazilian technical leather fashion show, Courovisão, has taken the decision to expand the scope of the event.

To be held on 20-22 October at the Fenac Exhibition Complex in Novo Hamburgo/RS, the next edition of the show will still present leather fashion trends for the 2005 winter season for the Brazilian domestic market. In a new departure, however, it will also show trends for summer 2005 and autumn/winter 2005/06 for the entire Northern Hemisphere.

Courovisão has grown by 70% since the first edition in 2000. The main purpose of the event is to preview materials and designs for coming seasons, thereby showcasing the work of shoe and leather goods designers and manufacturers.

The event has the support of Brazil's main leather sector organisations such as CICB (Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry), CTCCA (Technology Centre for the Leather, Footwear and Allied Trades), ABECA (Brazilian Association of Footwear Designers), ABRAMEQ (Brazilian Association of Leather and Footwear Machinery Manufacturers), AICSul (Brazilian Association of Rio Grande do Sul Tanners) and ABICALÇADOS (Brazilian Association of Footwear Manufacturers).
