China Leather 2004 Wenzhou, a leather fair organised by the city since year 1996, will host its ninth edition at Wenzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center on 7 – 9 September as part of China Light Industry Expo, according to China Leather Industry Information Center.

The focus of the fair will be on four categories: shoe-making machinery, leather series, shoe-making material and accessories, and leather chemicals. The relevant exhibitors will cover 40%, 25%, 10% and 16% of all participating enterprises respectively. Compared with last year, the number of shoe material and accessory making enterprises sees an increase of 30% to 150 booths, the organiser said.

The exhibition is said to cover a total area of 22 thousand square metres and around 500 enterprises from 22 countries such as the USA, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Russia, France and Brazil. Some countries, such as Mexico, will send a mission to participate in the fair. Taiwan has already reserved over 100 booths for its missions of footwear machinery.
