MK Quimica do Brasil launches own range of fatliquors

30/06/2004

When formulating the products for its new fatliquor range, developers at Brazilian chemicals producer MK Quimica had the increasing demand for soft leathers with a pleasant feel foremost in their minds. The demand for softness and flexibility becomes more difficult for certain leather goods.  Today, leathers must be more and more malleable, soft and agreeable to the touch.

The products were developed using MK’s own technology and raw materials from selected origins. Called ‘Superderma’, the products are said to impart high performance to the leathers, fulfiling the needs of tanners producing leather for footwear, leathergoods and garments, as well as upholstery leather. They are also described as being versatile, as various formulations are available for special articles.

The Superderma range complements the MK product range for the wet finishing process that already encompasses neutralisers, dyestuffs, retanning agents and auxiliaries.
