At the beginning of June it was reported that the Slovenian pigskin producer, IUV-Industrija usnja Vrhnika,d.d, was to be acquired by US-based Eline Entertainment Group. The purchase was to have been effected through Eline’s acquisition of Paolo Nevada, Inc., a US company which was negotiating for the purchase of the Slovenian tannery. The management of IUV has since explained that negotiations with Paolo Nevada ended in April when the Slovenian Ministry of Finance, which has an interest in IUV, decided not to sell its stake to the American bidder. IUV and the Ministry of Finance have now entered into new round of talks with potential buyers.
