Kemiter expands

23/06/2004

Chemical producer Kemiter has recently inaugurated a new production base at Castelfranco di Sotto (Pisa), in Macrolotto new industrial area, in the heart of one of the Italian tanning areas.

Kemiter was established in 1993 and, as a privately-run factory, it was the first in Italy to produce and market liquid dyestuffs in aqueous solution. After a period being the agency for the German multinational Dohmen, the company felt it was time to manufacture its own product range to satisfy any need for leather finishing. Since 1996 Kemiter has consolidated its production profile and has popularised its brand name around the world. It has now built the new site on 6,000 sq.m, 3,500 of which are covered. “The strong growth registered over the years has made it essential to expand and relocate” commented Pasqualino D’Adamo, Kemiter’s president. We have broadened our production department and equipped it with the most advanced technologies and automated controls.”

This evolution is aimed at achieving the highest quality and flexibility to meet any demands and requests of a diversified clientele all around the world, as well as at exploiting their production potentiality.” Their capacity has been assessed as 15 thousand kilograms of dyestuffs and 10 thousand kilograms of pigments a day. In addition to these plants, there are four reactors (6 cubic meters each) with a production capacity of 30 thousand kilograms of chemical products a day: caseins, natural and synthetic waxes, oil emulsions, silicone emulsions, dispersions, nitroemulsions and ester.
