Ecco Shoes founder and director, Karl Toosbuy, has died aged 76.

It is his wish that Ecco should continue to be run as a family business. Around 7 years ago his daughter Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak took over responsibility for the company, working as its chairperson alongside her husband, Dieter Kasprzak, the company’s deputy administrative director.
Last week, Toosbuy announced to the press that Ecco’s former financial director, Michael Tinghuus, had been promoted to the position of assistant deputy administrative director, responsible for the company’s operations, alongside Dieter Kasprzak.
