Pakistan leather exports on course for year end target
In the light of the figures, Mr Naseem said he was hopeful that the year-end target of $715 million, proposed by the Association to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), could be achieved.
However, the chairman stressed the need for the Government to formulate an export promotional budget and trade policy for the financial year 2004-05, to encourage the exporters in the ultimate national interest. With this in mind, some proposals had already been sent by the leather industry to the Government for the Budget & Trade Policy 2004-05, Mr Naseem said.
