Fashion First for APLF organisers in Europe
A new trade fair aimed at bringing the products of Asian leather product manufacturers to European buyers has been announced by Asia Pacific Leather Fair Ltd.
Called ‘Fashion First’, the show is described by its organiser as bringing an unprecedented selection of competitively priced quality footwear, leather goods, leather garments, bags, travel goods and accessories from Asia to the heart of the European fashion and footwear sectors.
Michael Duck, Director of APLF Ltd explains, "Following the progressive shift of manufacturing centres to Asia and South America's resurgence as a highly competitive supplier, we felt compelled to respond to the requirements of European distributors and retailers by creating a showcase of competitively priced goods, in the centre of the European Union.
According to APLF, Fashion First will span the latest fashions in footwear from major manufacturing bases such as China, India and Brazil, through leather garments from Pakistan and Turkey, to leather goods and accessories from India, Thailand and Argentina. The event will be held twice yearly, its debut being January 31- February 2 ‘05 at Brussels Expo, the second one in 2005 will be held from June 6th to 8th also at Brussels Expo.
