Leather products push bilateral trade between Brazil and Hong Kong

Bilateral trade between Brazil and Hong Kong increased 6.2% year-on-year to $1.3 billion during 2003. Leather products accounted for 43.1% of the total while beef comprised 37.6%.

 

Brazil’s exports to Hong Kong increased 19.2% to $753 million during the year while imports declined 7.2% to $570 million. During the first quarter 2004, exports between the countries rose 31.2% and imports climbed 10.7%.
