Burberry appoints new worldwide president and chief operating officer

UK fashion house, Burberry Group plc, has appointed Brian Blake as its worldwide president and chief operating officer, effective June 1 2004.

 

Reporting directly to Burberry chief executive, Rose Marie Bravo, Blake’s responsibilities will include overseeing the company’s global wholesale, retail, licensing and manufacturing operations. He will also become a member of the Burberry Executive Committee.

 

Blake was previously executive vice president at Gucci Group NV. He worked with the company for 17 years in a number of different roles.
