Rohm and Haas announces new Board member and plans for Chinese research centre

US chemicals producer, Rohm and Haas, has announced the appointment of Gary L. Rogers to its Board of Directors. Rogers retired as vice chairman of the General Electric Company in December 2003 and worked as senior vice president of the organisation between 1992 and 2001. 

 

Rohm and Haas also revealed plans to open a new research and technical centre in Shanghai, China by the end of 2005.  The company’s chairman and CEO, Raj L. Gupta, said: “The facility will be state-of-the-art and support all our businesses.”
