Arson suspected in Polish shoe factory fire
Production at the Kacper shoe factory in Myszków (southern Poland) has been badly disrupted by fire. Materials, machinery and the factory’s sewing facilities were all damaged in the blaze, which took eight fire brigades four hours to bring under control. Arson is suspected as the blaze was third of its kind to take place in the area in recent months, which is one of the country’s main footwear producing areas. The “Krisbut” factory was recently damaged in a fire and a warehouse of shoe materials completely destroyed.
