US considers trade sanctions against Bangladesh

Leather products and other goods produced in Bangladesh may face trade sanctions in the US as the country has not allowed its national labour laws to be applied to its Export Processing Zones.

 

The US is currently considering whether to withdraw, suspend or limit duty-free treatment under its Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) programme.
