Polish footwear manufacturer’s profits soar 160%
Based in Nowy Targ, footwear manufacturer, ZPH Wojas, has posted a massive 160% increase in profits to zł.48 million (€10 million) for the full year 2003. The company’s sales, however, declined 9% to zł.1 million (€208, 739).
The company, which make shoes for Dr. Martens, has estimated that its production will total £1 million during 2004. In 2003 it produced 10,000 pairs for Dr. Martens and predicts this will rise to 50,000 this year.
