Kanpur-based M/S Upper Indian Tannery Ltd has recently exported its first-ever consignment of finished leather from Lucknow to the Middle East by air.

Chairman of the Export Promotion and Infrastructure Development Panel of the U.P. Leather Industries Association, Mr Mohammad Ishaq, has urged exporters to take full advantage of the new Customs facilities and air cargo services on offer at the airport.

Flights are operated by Air India and Indian Airlines and are available to Jeddah, Sharjah and Dubai.
