Brazilian leather show expands for the future

24/03/2004

The 28th edition of the Brazilian FIMEC (International Technology Fair for the Leather and Footwear Sectors) show will take place April 15-18 at the FENAC exhibition grounds in Novo Hamburgo/RS. According to FENAC, existing exhibition space at the fair has been sold out, so FENCAC and ASSINTECAL (Brazilian Association of Leather, Footwear and Leathergoods Component Manufacturers) are jointly having a new pavilion built next to the existing Event Centre.

Construction work on the new 1,115 sq. mt. premises is already underway. The new pavilion will be air-conditioned and follow the style of the other buildings in the grounds.

In 2003, 1,030 exhibitors from 17 different countries took part in FIMEC and 48,000 visitors from 29 countries attended. The 2004 edition will occupy almost 40,000 sq. m., providing exhibition space for 1,070 exhibitors.
