Pakistan exports plummet in February

Pakistan leather exports rose 1.53% earning $480.7 million during the first eight months of current financial year July-February 2003-04, the country’s Federal Bureau of Statistics has advised.

 

Of the total, finished leather accounted for $147.9 million (up 1.02% on the year before), leather garments, leather gloves and other manufactured leather items $277 million (+3.1%) and footwear $55.875 million (0.75%).

 

Exports were heavily down in February ’04 however, with big declines being recorded in finished leather (-59.6% to $8.87 million), leather garments, gloves and manufactured items (-43.8% to $33.9 million) and footwear (-46.3% to $9.97 million).
