GST AutoLeather (formerly Garden State Tanning) has entered into an agreement with the Czech automotive headrest producer, Snezka, under which the Nachod-based company will act as its European cutting arm.
The relationship is GST’s first production investment in Europe and will see the company provide Snezka with both the equipment and staff training it requires to implement the contract, as well as the hides.
GST says it has already been awarded one contract to begin production in the autumn of 2004 for DaimlerChrysler and that ‘additional discussions’ are in progress with several other Tier One and OEM manufacturers.
