Hai Phong sets its sights on $667 million exports in 2004

The Vietnamese port of Hai Phong has restructured its leather goods and footwear exports, in a bid to hit its $667 million export target for 2004 – a potential increase of 17% year-on-year. The city enjoyed a 3.3% rise in exports to $50.5 million during January 2004.

 

The port has also restructured its garments, chemicals, seafood, cigarettes and machinery and equipment export industries and plans to expand its export base to cover 40 countries.
