Spring ’05 seasons offerings at next Le Cuir à Paris

20/02/2004

Previewing finished leather, fur, textile and component collections for spring/summer 2005,  the April ’04 show will incorporate a number of events based around the themes of design, fashion and materials.  While SIC Group has arranged free stand space for up and coming young designers on the fringes of its ‘Design Events’ area, an exhibition by the French Fashion Institute will explore new applications for leather.  There will also be a glove-themed show featuring the projects of nine international designers from the Institute’s Design Course.

Company display highlights will include a series of seriagraphed and imprinted Nappa leathers from Lauret while fellow French manufacturer Gouillardon Gaudry will be using its appearance at the event to unveil ‘Lafex’, a lightweight sole in microcellular rubber for summer footwear.   By way of variation, Italian leathermaker Erreci will be unveiling a new fire retardant furniture leather.

The two day show opens at the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles, on April 15.
