Over 17,000 visitors flock to Helsinki International Fashion Fair

The organisers of the Helsinki International Fashion Fair, held January 24-26 2004, have said the show attracted a total of 17,568 visitors.

 

A record number - 10,521 visitors - attended the consumer day to see collections for spring/summer 2004 while 7,047 professionals attended the trade days to view ranges for autumn/winter 2004/2005.

 

The tenth Golden Hanger award was presented to Finnish fashion house, Nanso Oy. The award takes into account the design and quality of the company’s collection, as well as whether it is in keeping with the times, suitable for export and good value for money.

 

The next edition of the Helsinki International Fashion Fair will be held August 21-23 2004, previewing trends for spring/summer 2005 to the trade and autumn/winter 2004/2005 collections to consumers.
