Chile calls for increased trade ties with India

The Chilean Ambassador to India, Jorge Heine, has expressed interest in expanding Chile’s trade links with India during a recent meeting organised by the Chilean Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce.

 

India exports leather garments, cotton yarn, pharmaceuticals and passenger cars to Chile and imports Chilean copper and wine. Trading volume between the countries currently stands at $260 million and, according to Heine, has the capability of being significantly increased.
