Louis Vuitton leads the way at LVMH

23/01/2004

The French luxury goods house, LVMH, has posted an 8% increase in fourth quarter sales, with the Louis Vuitton division leading the way.

Fashion and leather goods recorded double digit sales growth in Q4 and benefited from strong demand from customers throughout the year, in particular in the US.

The success of new product lines and the opening of a new boutique in Tokyo contributed to the strong progress, as did the popularity of its Fendi collection, LVMH says.

The group recorded sales of Eur12 billion for the full year 2003, representing organic growth of 4% compared with 2002.
