Gutmann, Suncook unite
Gutmann Leather Co. of Chicago, Illinois, and the Suncook Tanning Co. of Pittsfield, New Hampshire, have announced an agreement whereby Gutmann will acquire certain assets of Suncook.
The collaborative effort will see all of Suncook’s production moved to Gutmann’s
David Ossoff, head of Suncook, will become part of Gutmann’s staff where he will be heavily involved in sales and product development.
While Suncook produces split leathers for footwear, handbags, garments, glove and other products, Gutmann specialises in side leathers for footwear, handbags and other end uses.
