23rd Pielespaña Internacional to promote young designers

The 23rd edition of Pielespaña Internacional will feature a fashion show aimed at promoting young designers of the future, the event’s organiser says.

 

According to Fira de Barcelona, the catwalk show will feature future developments in the design and manufacture of suede, nappa and double face garments.

 

Participation has already been confirmed by students from institutions, including: Esdi – Escuela Superior de Diseño, Barcelona; Escola de Disseny, Palma de Mallorca; Northampton University, UK, and the London College of Fashion, UK.

 

During Pielespaña Internacional, collections for autumn/winter 2004/2005 will be unveiled in the ‘Exhibition Proposals’ fashion shows while the ‘Balears és Moda’ exhibition will feature leather products and fashion from the Balearic Islands.

 

The new ‘Leather Surrealism’ area will present the latest leather fashions in a unique surrealist setting and blend together fashion, colours, garments and accessories, Fira de Barcelona says.

 

The show is expected to attract over 15,000 visitors and 180 exhibitors and will be held in Barcelona, Spain, January 30 – February 2 in Hall 1 of the Montjuïc Exhibition Centre.
