Istanbul-based leather goods and accessories specialist, Tergan Deri Urunleri San. Ve Tic. A.S. has secured orders worth $1 million from lifestyle fashion brand Timberland. Items comprise belts and small leather accessories for spring and autumn for the United States. This is a step towards Tergan's mid-term goal of being a brand-name presence in America by 2006.

Another order, worth $500,000, has come from UK firm, Regent Belt Company. This is the second year Tergan has supplied them with all-leather belts under Regent's name. Tergan's Istanbul factory turns out about 350,000 belts annually.

Another order, worth approximately $500,000, has gone to Swiss firm DCM for leather linings and coverings for boxes for fashion-edition Swatch watches.
