New senior appointments at Stahl

Frank Policky has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of Stahl, taking over from Willi Vaskovich who retired at the end of 2003.

 

Policky joined the company in 1984 as applications manager, Leather Finishes and later was promoted through a series of managerial roles including business manager, Leather Products and assistant general manager, Stahl Holland.

 

In 1997 he was appointed as business manager, Leather Products Europe, joint general manager of Stahl Holland and chairman of the Stahl European Management Board - positions which he has held up until his new appointment.

 

Remy Vial has been promoted to the position of executive vice president, Stahl Brasil.  Vial joined Stahl in 1997 as a senior technical advisor in the Leather Applications Laboratory. He later became European technical service manager of the Leather Products Group, coordinating the liaison between research and development and sales functions.

 

The new executive chairman of the Stahl European Management Board is Michael Vaskovich.  Vaskovich has worked as the executive vice president at Stahl Brazil for the last five years, during which time he has been involved in the significant growth of the company and its facilities in Brazil.  Most notable was the building of Stahl Brasil’s new Technology Center in Portão in early 2001.

 

Vaskovich joined Stahl in 1991 as a senior technologist for the Colours and Tanning Products Business, based in Saint Clair du Rhône, France. He moved to Waalwijk in 1992, becoming technical service manager of the Leather Products Group in 1995.
