The Scottish supplier of high quality upholstery leather, Muirhead, has developed a new product line it says is “inspired by the dramatic contrast of the Isle of Arran.”

‘Arran’ is a 1.0mm hard wearing premium leather that features a distinctive textured appearance, reflecting the beautiful rugged nature of the much loved Scottish island, the company says.

It is available in eight colours – bramble (lively burgundy), holly (vivid green), regatta (deep sea blue), spice (trendy brown), bracken (orangey tan), oatmeal (soft beige), fjord (Mediterranean blue) and classic black.

Muirhead’s sales manager, John McMorris, said: “Texture is very important in the upholstery fabric industry at the moment and Arran has a lovely tactile appeal, characteristic of the Arran grain.  Its high performance finish means it is perfect for both the domestic and commercial markets.”
